Auckland needs atleast 13,000 new houses a year

As predicted, residential consents will hit a high of 13,322 homes next year – this is the highest rate since 2004. The rate of home-building could remain at that level until at least 2022. To keep up with the demand Auckland needs at least 13,000 new homes a year, for 30 years.
